July Favourites

July Favourites

My first ever favourites post, I am going to be doing favourites towards the end of each month now. So let start!

MUA: The Artiste Collection
So the first thing that I have been using is the Artiste Collection Palette, this palette is a multi-use palette and I have been loving the Blushes, Bronzer and Highlighter. The Blushes are called Pink Sparkle and Primrose and i have been using them both alternately. The Bronzer is called Bronzed, I have been loving this to contour with as it does not make me look orange! The Highlighter is called Shimmer Kiss, it just give the perfect glow to the top of my checks.

MUA: Nail Polishes
I have also been loving the MUA nail polishes in Natural Days which is a perfect baby pink and the other one that i have been loving is Bright Coral which is the coral colour! I have been loving them as it has been really hot here in the UK and they make your hand and arms look more tanned what more can you ask for. I have done a full review on the Bright Coral nail polish as it was my last NOTW.

Model Co: Lip-gloss
The Model Co lip-gloss is in the colour Strip Tease, which is the perfect peach colour but is also quite nude like and i do love my nude lips all year round. I also love the fact that the gloss is not sticky and smells/ taste like starburst!

Soap and Glory: Peaches and Clean
This is a face wash and is just so refreshing first if all if you don't like peach sent then this is not for you as it has a very strong peach sent. I have just loved this as I use it every night and my skin feels so refreshed and so soft.

Clinique: High Impact Mascara
I own the sample size of this mascara but will definalty be purchsing the full size once this has run out. I truley love this mascara as it just gives the perfect affect to to the lashes as they dont go clumpy and are very fluttery.

Collection 2000: Concealer Lasting Perfection
I am not going to talk to much about this because i bet you are all sick of it as everyone talks about it all the time however I do love this concealer. I have shade 2 Light, I just love this for covering and blemishes.

MUA: Undress Me Too Palette
This is my favourite eye shadow palette it has lovely neutral colours and I have been loving using shades, Naked, Shy, Dreamy and Tranquil. To create the perfect eye look through out the month.

Hope you enjoyed this post,

July Favourites

Favourite Summer Nail Polishes.

Left to Right: MUA: Natural Days, Bright Coral. Barry M: Greenberry. Miss Sporty: No.6. Ciate Mini: Shooting Star.

As it is summer here in the UK I decided to do a post on my favourite nail polishes.

MUA: Nail Polishes
The first two nail polishes I have been loving are both from MUA they are the shades Natural Days which is the baby pink and the other shade is called Bright Coral which is the coral colour, these are perfect for the summer as they make your hands look tanned! I have also gone into a bit more detail on Bright Coral as it was last weeks NOTW.

Barry M: Gelly Hi-Shine
I have mentioned this before in one of my first blog posts as I reviewed a few colours. I have picked Greenberry as my favourite one for the summer, I don't want to talk about this to much as you may have already seen that post. If you want to no my views on the nail polish go back and look at that post.

Miss Sporty: No.6
Miss Sporty nail polishes are hard to tell what shade they are as they don't have any names the number on the bottom of the one I love is 6 I think that this is the shade. I love this colour for the summer as it is a pastel yellow and just look really gorgeous on the nails.

Ciate Mini: Shooting Star
I got this nail polish in the Glamour Magazine a while back and the colour is just amazing it I a simple nude and I love wearing this as it is really simple and goes with a lot of things! My only fault with this one is that it is very sheer some people might like that but I do like my nail polishes to be highly pigmented and not take 4 coats.

17: Supreme Shine Lipstick

17: Supreme Shine Lipstick

 Shade: Hot Flash

This lipstick is my new favourite this colour is just summer all over and follows the bold lip trend. The lipstick is £4.99 from Boots you can only get this lipstick from Boots as it is a Boots brand. The lipstick shade is Hot Flash and as you can see from the swatch that I did it is highly pigmented, the shade is a red/orange colour and is just beautiful. As this is  a Supreme Shine lipstick it is very glossy like and it also last a long time on the lips. Even though it does not say it is a stain it did leave a trail of colour on my lips! I am very happy with this lipstick and will certainly be going back to boots to pick up some more.

Maybelline New York: Great Lash Mascara.

Maybelline New York: Great Lash Mascara.

 Blackest Black

I had heard so many good things about this mascara so I decided to pick it up and see what all the fuss was about! When I first started to use this Great Lash mascara I thought it was great and I understood the rave, but then after about a week I realised that the mascara had gone quite watery so I was a bit concious to wear it just in case it was a bad one. However I have carried on using it and it seems to be fine now I don't no if that happened to everyone or just me. So I kind of understand the hype but I don't think it is the best mascara you can get at the drugstore, there are in my opinion many more that you can get for £4.99.

Eyelash Curler Only £1

Eyelash Curler Only £1

This eyelash curler was only £1 it was from Primark. I know everybody doesn't love Primark but even if you don't I highly recommend picking this eyelash curler up, it does exactly what my £5 Boots one does and it doesn't burn a whole in your pocket if you loose it. I have had my for about 4 months and it has not broken which I was so pleased with. I also think that it looks quite cute with the pink bits on the handles and the silver bit. Just give it ago you will be amazed at how good it works.

MUA Single Shadows

MUA Single Shadows

 Left to Right:Shade 17(matt), Shade 24(pearl) and Shade 20(matt)

MUA have some great quality products but one thing I love from them is there single eye shadows. They have a range of colours from neutrals to brights to then darks. These eye shadows are very pigmented as you can see from the swatches that I have done I haven't yet found a colour which I think was not worth the £1 and yes that's right the MUA single eye shadows are only £1 and for the quality you can not go wrong. The other thing that I was really pleased with was the fact that they are not chalky and do not crease. These are one of my favourite products as they are so easy to take around.

NOTW

NOTW

 MUA: Bright Coral

So I thought that I would start doing a post dedicated to nails every Friday. I thought that I would call it NOTW  which stands for Nails Of The Week. This week I have fallen in love with this MUA shade called Bright Coral, it is exactly what the name says. I am really impressed with the nail polish as it was only £1 and has lasted the whole week. You can only get these nail polishes from Superdrug and they are worth every penny. This colour Bright Coral really got me in the mood for summer and I really liked having a pop of colour on my nails.

Rimmel London: Apocalips Lip Lacquer

Rimmel London: Apocalips Lip Lacquer

I have the shades Stellar and Luna in the Rimmel London Apocalips Lip Lacquers. I really love this product and they are in my opinion exactly what they say they are. If you don't like bright colours I would not recommend them, the colour range is not the best, I would love for them to bring out a bit more of a variety. The way that this lip lacquer drys is very good it will stay glossy for quite a while and the turn in to a lipstick form on your lips, this means that the staying power is very good. The pigmentation is also amazing and the packaging sold it even more to me. You can get the Apocalips Lip Lacquer from Boots or Superdrug for only £5.99 that in my eyes is a bargain!

Please leave comments of any product you would like me to review and I will see what I can do.

MUA : Undress Your Skin, Shimmer Highlighter

MUA Undress Your Skin: Shimmer Highlighter

This MUA Shimmer Highlighter is from their newish range called Undress Your Skin, this product to me is the perfect highlighter there is just enough shimmer and if you apply the highlighter quite light handed you will not end up looking like a glitter ball exploded on your face!
The packaging I really like as it is very sturdy and I like the fact that when it is away you can still see the colour with out having to open it.
The pigment to the highlighter is amazing and is really worth the money, it was a bargain at just £3.

Please comment any products you would like me to review and I will see what I can do.

Rimmel London: Scandaleyes Show Off Mascara

Rimmel London: Scandaleyes Show Off Mascara

The Rimmel London Scandaleyes Show Off Mascara is my most used and favourite at the moment drugstore mascara.
The colour/ shade I have is Black, the mascara is great for getting really voluminous lashes. The mascara lasts a long time on the lashes however it does tend to flake towards the night if you have put it on in the morning.
The one fault I have with this mascara is the fact that it can look a little bit spidery if you are not careful. All I do to avoid this is just use a lighter hand and not apply too many coats.
The best thing I think about this mascara is the way the end goes in and then out like there is a ball on the end you may be able to see this in the picture, I find this really handy and useful for getting the inner corner lashes.

Please leave comment if you have any products you would like me to review and I will see what I can do.

MUA Power Pout Review

Hey Girlie's,

So about a month ago MUA brought out Power Pouts. These are exactly the same as the Clinique chubby stick and the Revlon just bitten kissable lip stain and balm. However the great thing about the Power Pouts is that they are only £3! So I don't no about you but I would prefer to spend £3 on a product instead of £14-£16.

The MUA power pouts are really pigmented and they do have a range of colours not the biggest but they do have pinks, oranges to deep red. The three that I have are Rendezvous, Crazy In Love and Runway.

Top to Bottom: Crazy In Love, Rendezvous and Runway.

Like I said they are so pigmented and are just a moisturising as the Clinique and Revlon ones. The MUA ones taste of mint which I think is a big bonus. In my opinion I would certainly try the MUA ones first and then try a higher end brand.

Left to Right: Crazy In Love, Rendezvous and Runway.

The picture above is not great but I didn't no how else to show you swatches hopefully you get the idea.
Hope this review helped see you next time.

Barry M Gelly Hi-Shine Nail Polish

Hey Girlies,

So this is my first review on a product, I am going to be reviewing the Barry M Gelly Hi-Shine. I know I am a bit late to jump on the band wagon for these, and I totally understand what the hype was all about. So the colours I picked up are Lychee, Greenberry and Prickly Pear.

From left to right: Lychee, Greenberry and Prickly Pear

As you can see Lychee is a nude colour, Greenberry is a bright green with a hint of blue and Prickly Pear is a  light purple. The consistency of these nail polishes I love as they don't go thick and clumpy however they do take I think two coats. I do think that you can get away with just one coat but I like my nail polishes to be very pigmented. They are very easy to remove as-well and don't leave a stain on your nails. I think they live up to their name and do look like gel. I highly recommend these colours and hope this review has helped.
